The world I see is God indeed
As I pondered that fact, I thought about the things God created all around us and FOR us and how His creation alone explains His thoughts about us.
God could have made butterflies drab and uninvited pests. Rather
he created them to be a marvelous wonder reminding us that we can have the same
transformation from a leaf eating worm to a beautiful
butterfly. We are not meant to be drab or ineffective, we are meant to
fly with purpose. To spread God’s word (pollinate), and have authority over
Satan’s pesky pests around us.
God could have made all trees keep their leaves or created them
without color. Rather he made some of them change colors after a long hot
summer. Beautiful golds, reds, yellows and purples. They fall during the cold
winter providing ground cover. After winter has left and spring returns, so do
the leaves providing shade, fruit and shelter for birds and other animals. This
is a reminder that we all go through seasons, we all have moments of change -
nothing ever stays the same. Sometimes the season is dry, hot, harsh, cold, or
brutal but with God we can all be restored and able to produce fruit, be a
shelter for the weak, shade for the ones who have been burnt in life, and a
beautiful testament of God’s glory to those around us.
God could have created birds without a song. Maybe a loud
screeching noise first thing in the morning. Rather he created them each with
its own beautiful song whose singing is most prevalent first thing in the morning. God's gentle wake up call. God gave us each a voice but that voice was created to
sing praises to our God testifying of his gentleness, love, goodness, and mercy
which are new every morning.
What beauty do you see in the world God created? How can you
interpret his creation as his love for you? Look past the worldly world Satan
infests and see the wonders of the world God created for you and meditate on
that today.
“O Lord, our Lord, How majestic and glorious and excellent is
Your name in all the earth! You have displayed Your splendor above the heavens.
Out of the mouths of infants and nursing babes You have
established strength Because of Your adversaries, That You might silence the
enemy and make the revengeful cease. When I see and consider Your heavens, the
work of Your fingers, The moon and the stars, which You have established, What
is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of [earthborn] man that You
care for him?
Yet You have made him a little
lower than God, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. You made him to
have dominion over the works of Your hands; You have put all things under his
feet, All sheep and oxen, And also the beasts of the field, The birds of the
air, and the fish of the sea, Whatever passes through the paths of the seas. O
Lord, our Lord, How majestic and glorious and excellent is Your name in all the
earth!”
