What About My Junk?

Question: Could YOU live without a junk drawer? My husband and I were having a discussion about drawer space while planning our kitchen remodel. During the discussion my husband asked me "Do you think we should get rid of the junk drawer?"   I suddenly felt faint as a wave of panic coursed threw me. Just thinking about the possibility of not having a junk drawer made me sick to my stomach. What?! No junk drawer?! But..... But....... But..........  What would we do with all of our gadgets, thing-a-ma-gigs, whatchamacallits and do-hickeys?! What will we do? How will we survive? How could we ever manage?? It isn't possible to function without a junk drawer... or is it? After the initial wave of panic began to subside, I did what most social adept people would do; I polled my Facebook Friends and asked them if it was possible to NOT have a junk drawer. The world I see is God indeed

  As I woke to the gentle sound of the rain this morning, I was thinking about the wonders of God. Scientists have attempted to prove God's existence with science, but they are missing the proof right before their eyes on a daily basis.   As I pondered that fact, I thought about the things God created all around us and FOR us and how His creation alone explains His thoughts about us.   God could have made butterflies drab and uninvited pests. Rather he created them to be a marvelous wonder reminding us that we can have the same transformation from a leaf eating worm to a beautiful butterfly. We are not meant to be drab or ineffective, we are meant to fly with purpose. To spread God’s word (pollinate), and have authority over Satan’s pesky pests around us.   God could have made all trees keep their leaves or created them without color. Simply Sincere

  'For our boast is this, the testimony of our conscience, that we behaved in the world with simplicity and godly sincerity, not by earthly wisdom but by the grace of God, and supremely so toward you.' 2 Corinthians 1:12 ESV   My husband and I found ourselves in the emergency room several days into our long-awaited summer vacation. It had been five days since my husband noticed a sore on his leg, he cleaned it out and did his best to take care of the sore, but it quickly evolved into a severe bacterial infection. Had we not sought medical attention, the infection could’ve caused permanent damage to his joints or even worse traveled through his circulatory system causing life threatening sepsis. Four days before leaving for a vacation we planned a year in advance, my husband, Joe, was installing a small sprinkler system.
